More than 100 children learned valuable lessons on staying safe over the summer. HCEC EMT, RN BSN Lexi Lind talked to the kids at the Salvation Army’s Boys & Girls Club on June 28, 2016.  They learned what an emergency is, when to call 911, and what to do when they’re in a car and an ambulance drives by.

The children also got an opportunity to sit inside an ambulance, listen to their heart beat with a stethoscope and see all the lifesaving equipment that medics use.
