A happy reunion 6-months after a brave boy who nearly died after being shot in the heart

June 23, 2014

In December 2013, Harris County Emergency Corps and Little York Fire Department responded to a gunshot victim. Turns out it was a 7-year old boy who was shot in the heart by a BB gun.

The family braced for the worst when they heard that he was dead for about 20 minutes. By all accounts, the family credits the first responders for saving his life. Braden is now 8 and is still recovering, but doing above and beyond what any doctor made the family expect.

The HCEC crew, dispatcher and family met on June 21, 2014 for a reunion. Watch KHOU 11 coverage of the special reunion.
